125hp at 3,800rpm, 366 cu. In. Straight eight 3.5 Bore and 4.75 Stroke, four-speed manual transmission, front and rear semi-elliptic leaf springs, four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. Wheelbase: 136 pierce-arrow had a long impressive history prior to 1932, they manufactured some of the greatest motor cars of the brass era including the great-arrow, the 38, 48 and the mighty pierce 66. The last of which was often the choice of several american presidents as there was no greater american motor car, the pierce 66 utilized an 825 cubic inch engine, which even today, is the largest engine ever used in a mass produced motor car. Pierce used the merits of their previous accomplishments to build on a pre-existing image of greatness. By the 1930s, while as difficult as it was to claim any success within the automotive market, they endeavored to produce some of the most elegant and distinctive motor cars in the world.
