Measurements : 15 inches high x 6 inches wide Weight : approximately ½ pound Date : Circa 1933-1939[In 1939, the Union shield of stars and stripes was replaced with a horizontal striped shield. /historyAEagle.html ] Condition : Good. New these signs were stored in the attic in the manufacturer’s original wrapping paper. They have experienced some wear from the humidity and temperature change from decades of attic storage. They are from a liquor merchant who distributed the product and were stored with many other items of advertising promotion that were never displayed or used. Front : Slight indentation over the “B” at top of sign does not affect coating. Slight humidity rusting at left side of sign even with bottle of bottle. Pin hole humidity rust spots running at bottom of sign from “K” in King to “R” in Anheuser Busch. Despite these minor flaws they would not distract from the sign when hung. Due to its age it is in very good condition. Reverse side : Water damaged which has made cardboard buckle and lower half of sign this does not affect front beauty of sign. Moisture infiltrated the backing cardboard due to decades of storage in attic. Slight flea bites of humidity rusting at corners.
