RARE 1933 CHRYSLER SALES DELAER COMMUNICATION RE: WORLD'S FAIR DELIVERY PROMO Extremely interesting insight into the marketing campaign Chrysler Sales Corp. unleashed during the 1933 Century of Progress World's Fair In Chicago. This is a Jul 6, 1933 communication to distributors and dealers whereby somebody could purchase a new Chrysler and the purchaser of the car would have an all-expenses paid trip to the Chicago World's Fair where they would pick up their new car and be able to drive home from the World's Fair and also trek around the Chicago are. Chrysler figured the difference between delivering a car from Detroit to Chicago would clearly produce enough savings to pay for the customers trip to the World's Fair. Extremely novel sales approach given the time. It was a cross-promotion with American Express which was enlisted to coordinate travel plans, according to the communication which is offered for this auction. In good condition given it age -- appears to have been in a thriee-ring binder at one time. A fray at the top of the first page but still looks good. Theere are 6 pieces or paper. Some have information on both the sides, Also includes is a spec sheet for a Chicago World's Fair Chrysler souvenir ashtray which could be ordered by dealers as premium give-aways tgo customers during the iconic World's Fair.
