Liberty Walking Half Dollar 1933-S Description: Obverse: Drapery has good primary lines with strong secondary detail, showing depth, in the lower part of the skirt with scattered wear areas. Secondary detail is also observed above the waist in the neck , breasts, and along both shoulders expressed in the dress straps. Bouquet and stars stand out clearly and show secondary relief in some areas.All lettering has sharp tops, parallel to the rims , and clarity. Date is bold and stands out to the observer. Motto is clear, complete and distinct. Right sandle shows good secondary detail with the left sandal showing scattered detail in the front and at the heel. Reverse: All lettering and mint mark are clear and stand out to the observer. Majority of the primary detail in the feathers is clear but scattered secondary wear over the neck,breast and parts of the wings is evident. Primary features stand out on the tallons but lack secondary detail due to wear. Feathers just above the tallons still have secondary detail showing. Head detail is clearly defined in terms of the beak,mouth, around the eyes and the top of the head. A small feather segment is still evident on the back of the head while below this point the feathers are worn. Very nice addition to any liberty walking collection at a great starting price.
