The item up for sale is an original vintage board game, in its original box made circa 1934.The box top reads : "Alice in Wonderland Game. © Parker Brothers Inc. Salem Mass., New York, London."The game itself is not dated. The game has been dated 1930's by Alex Malloy in his catalog of American Games (see below) and 1934 by the Alice Games website of the Lewis Carroll Society of NA.The box contains the playing board (a printed paper paste-down laid down onto the bottom of the box); the 4 page rules booklet; 7 Menace 'Name' cards and 17 letter cards which spell Alice in 4 colors (5 red; 5 yellow; 4 green; & 3 blue - missing 2 blue & 1 green letter).The board and box tops have illustrations of Alice in Wonderland by John Tenniel.The box measures 15 inches long X 13 inches wide X 1 inch high.The box is in fair condition due to the right side of the lid being crushed; a tear & indentation on the right edge of the lid; repairs to 2 corners of the lid (on the inside); an indentation in the upper left corner of the lid; a tear on the front apron; missing half the rear apron of the lid; soiling; missing a small portion of the left apron; wear to the edges; and slight splitting on the edges.The board is in good condition aside from light soiling, foxing spots and small marks.The playing pieces are in good condition aside from foxing spots read more
