This is an authentic, original postcard from 1934 featuring Circus Freak BETTY LOU WILLIAMS "The Double Body Girl". She is a legendary circus / carnival sideshow performer who had a real second body growing out of her stomach. This postcard/souvenir pitchcard is unique in that it features her as a little girl in 1934 was most other documents and photos show her in her 20s at the earliest. This is an Official Postcard of Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium "A Century of Progress - 1934". This was sold at the 1934 World's Fair that was dubbed "A Century of Progress" and Ripley's had an Odditorium circus sideshow set up t that presumably featured Betty Williams and this would be a souvenir that people would purchase. This postcard is in pristine condition, unsent of course and has no creases or marks or pinholes. Truly a great collectible of American Circus Sideshow History. Please see scan for condition and feel free to ask questions. High res scans available upon request. All cards shipped well-protected in rigid cardboard, insurance optional. Shipping can be combined on multiple auction wins. I HAVE MANY OTHER VINTAGE BOXING CARDS AND PUBLICATIONS LISTED SO BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS. |
