1934 Schuchardt US PAT Corkscrew Old Snifter WORKS! Check out my ABOUT ME page for links to my corkscrew website! This is a 1934 Schuchardt Patent. Known as the "Turning Head Old Snifter". Well marked on base "OLD SNIFTER" and on his umbrella "NEGBAUR" and "MADE IN U.S.A. PAT'D". When you turn his head, the corkscrew will rise from the back. The mechanism works smooth and well. His hands resting on his umbrella are a bottle opener. This piece also has the original green felt on the base. There is wear to the finish as seen in the pictures, but who cares?
