1935 Lionel Mickey Mouse Circus Train with Tent RARE!!

This set comes with the Wind-up O Gauge Commodore Vanderbilt Engine, a tender with a moving composition Mickey shoveling imaginary coal, and three tin lithograph cars (dining car, circus car and band car). All with a few very light surface scratches (no rust). It has the ultra rare cardboard 8" x 18" x 15" cardboard circus tent which is complete, but has a few tears needing mending tape from the inside surface. Also, it has the 5" composition Mickey Circus Barker figure that shows some minor paint wear and the two loose cardboard accessories are; Mickey pulling Minnie by the hand to the circus and a small nephew holding the flagpole at the top of the tent. This is missing the bottom section which shows the trapeze artists inside the tent. Not included are the other cardboard accessories, the tracks, the key and the original box. I remember back 30 years ago when I bought it at a trade show, the dealer used a key from another train to show me that the wind-up motor worked, but that was so long ago I can't be sure if it still works. The tender Mickey has paint wear on his face. Overall it is a great show piece. The train is about 30" long and the tent is still vivid and bright (and with a few tape repairs from behind, it would show great). This item will be taken apart and sent flat. See page 625 item #MCK-130 in Hake's Price Guide to Character Toys 5th Edition.
