All items valued at $100 or more come with signature confirmation which costs us an extra roughly $2 which is already included in your shipping charge. We are a “real” auction house so everything is packed professionally. We use plenty of thick cardboard with flats so they do not bend and peanuts and bubble for fragiles. So fear not! Also, we pay people with skills to do this work and pay for materials rather than scrounging for them. So sometimes that is factored into our shipping price. This is NOT a profit center for us, we are merely trying to break even. Most cases we lose money on shipping. Overall we definitely lose money on shipping but we are not complaining. We are happy to sell the stuff and want you to be satisfied. We are collectors too so we feel your pain! is first sports auctions house in America (founded 1985) and is one of the most respected auction houses in the United States. Our specialties are in sports (the industry leader), rock ‘n roll and vintage photography. We have organized such important auctions as the Boston Garden (total sales over $2M), the Charlie Sheen Collection (the finest baseball collection to come auction up to that time), the Buffalo Bob Smith and other principals of the Howdy Dowdy Show (sales include an original Howdy Doody Puppet for $113,000), the LIFE Magazine Photographic Archive, and many more. We have purchased such important collections as the San Francisco Examiner Photograph Archive for a seven figure sum (the finest commercial photographic archive ever publicly sold), The Dick Dobbins Collection (the finest baseball uniform collection to this day), and scores of collections all over the world too numerous to mention. Lelands principals Michael Heffner and Joshua Leland Evans have bought/sold/appraised over a quarter of a billion dollars worth of memorabilia over the past 25 years. We have been in and on almost every important newspaper, news show and magazine in America, from Playboy to the Washington Post to Nightline. We are seeking large collections, important consignments and single pieces of anything of great value for our auctions. Cash advances are available for the right stuff. We also buy outright every single day. You may visit us at our main office in Bohemia, New York (Long Island) or at our locations in Allentown, Pennsylvanian (Mike Heffner), Central New Jersey (Josh Evans) or St. Louis, Missouri. We are always available to pick up collections and meet with you anywhere in the world. Most importantly, look for the great stuff we currently have on eBay.
