A rare chance to own a set of 1936 Edward V111 full & half sovereigns in hallmarked solid 9 carat gold, I believe that these are from a limited number modern strike & are known as pattern proofs which are rare themselves, both coins are fully hallmarked (on the edge of the coin) .375 gold (London) & with a sponsor/makers mark of P.D. The full sovereign weighs 6.13g & the half sovereign weighs 4.22g. If you collect sovereigns these are the ones to get to fill that gap in your collection because if you were lucky enough to find an original Edward V111 sovereign (not much chance as only proofs were minted before his abdication) Spinks Coins of England Book 2009 lists the price as £175000. Any questions please feel free to ask any questions & apologies for the fingermarks on the coins as I did not have any distilled water to clean them with.
