Gold and turquoise Art Deco border with young boy and his dog riding co-pilot in vintage, yellow airplane that is titled "Ambition Realized" by Eugene Iverd. A tremendous example of machine age triumphalist progress imagery--the future is seen flying high above the immediate sadnesses of the Great Depression. From the archives of the Thomas D. Murphy calendar company of Red Oak, Iowa. This features a lone date pad for January 1936 as this was a salesman's sample.
