This auction is for the chassis from a 1936 Philco Model 610. This chassis was used in both console and tombstone radios. The chassis includes the original power cord and plug. I tested the power transformer with a multimeter and got reasonable resistance on all windings, indicating the transformer is good.
The tuning mechanism and dial are missing. Also the five tubes, 6A7, 78, 75, 42 and 80 are NOT included. The screen that mounts on the underside of the chassis is included but the screws that hold it on are not. The controls turn as they should, but the on-off switch is either bad or (more likely) needs a good cleaning. The original, above-chassis electrolytic capacitors were changed long ago, and one of the replacements is missing. I believe that this chassis is the "Later-Production" model that is covered by a schematic available from Beitmans (not the Riders schematic for the first production). A copy of the Beitmans schematic is shown below (I don't have a copy that is any easier to read). The item in the photos is what will be shipped. Selling "As-Is" with No Reserve.
