1936-S Texas Independence Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar is in MS65 condition. Coin has been graded and authenticated by NGC. Full bright white luster on both sides...some toning on obverse. Mintage of a low 9,005.This coin commemorates the independence of Texas in 1836. Obverse shows eagle and the one five-pointed star representing the Lone Star of Texas. The reverse shows the kneeling figure of winged Victory, plus the medallions with portraits of General Sam Houston and Stephen Austin, founders of the Republic of Texas and the State of Texas.!!!!!!
