1936 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Lou Gehrig & Joe DiMaggio

Pricing & History
1936 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Lou Gehrig & Joe DiMaggio. Yet another in a long line of Yankees championships, the 1936 season was marked by the arrival of a young hitter named Joe DiMaggio. "Joltin' Joe" would take over the reins of leadership from Lou Gehrig and continue to lead the pinstripes to dominance in the 1930's and 1940's. Both legends are featured here on this DiMaggio rookie year baseball. "The Iron Horse" has signed the sweet spot, a position he had normally relinquished to Babe Ruth for most of his career. The signature is light, but a strong 5/10 with complete visibility. The rookie signed directly to the left of Gehrig on the bottom of the side panel, in similar 5/10 ink. DiMaggio also signed a second time on another panel, in the same quality. Other Hall of Famers and legends on the ball include Charles "Red" Ruffing, Bill Dickey, Red Rolfe, Tony Lazzeri and Lefty Gomez (clubhouse). Another nine players have added their marks to the ball, mostly in 6/10 quality. The ball has been uniformly coated with shellac and presents no major distractions, other than a handful of hairs/fibers caught under the coating. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
