FASINATING ACCOUNTING PAGE FROM MEYER LANSKYS BUSINESS IN 1937...THE HEIGHT OF THE GANGSTER PERIOD BUGSY SIEGAL, LUCKY LUCIANO, AL CAPONE...THESE WERE SOME OF HIS ASSOCIATES. STARTED FLAMINGO HOTEL. THE BRAINS BEHIND THE OUTFIT This 14 x 9" accounting document is titled "Meyer Lansky" and his address Central Park West, (life must have been good..lol) Sheet shows his stock holdings which included ITT, Barium Steel and an aircraft company. I owned 4 of these from the collection that came out back in the 1990's. This is a peak inside the underworld that very few ever get to see. Meyer Lansky (born Majer Suchowliński ; July 4, 1902 – January 15, 1983), known as the "Mob's Accountant", was a Polish American organized crime figure who, along with his associate Charles "Lucky" Luciano , was instrumental in the development of the " National Crime Syndicate " in the United States . For decades he was thought to be one of the most powerful people in the country.Lansky developed a gambling empire which stretched from Saratoga, New York to Miami to Council Bluffs and Las Vegas ; it is also said that he oversaw gambling concessions in Cuba .
