Offered is a Vintage 1937 Original Photograph issued by Acme Newspictures capturing the horrific scene on May 6, 1937 when the pride of the German people, the Hindenburg airship caught fire and was destroyed, killing 35 people on board at Lakehurst, NJ. Photo was made from the Pathe Newsreel at the time by Acme with the caption and 3/7/37 date on the reverse. A RARE photo issued at the time the event happened !
