Hank Ketcham, the creator of the character, Dennis the Menace, was a 1937 graduate of Queen Anne (Kuay) High School in Seattle. He went to college for awhile, moved to California to draw for Disney and others. He worked on famous films like Fantasia. And then his first wife came downstairs in their home one night and complained about their son Dennis. The rest, they say, is history.
