is a pretty brooch! It has alot of history too. The brooch is a circle with a cut-out design of two palm trees and two colorful birds. The trees are enameled green at the top, and the birds are yellow, orange and brown. In between the enamel are marcasite stones set into the silver. It's gorgeous. Please read on for more info...

MARKS: The back says Sterling and Made in U.S.A. and Pat. No. D108229. T is also a U with an arrow through it. This patent number is found on google and this exact brooch is drawn and dated as filed December 13, 1937 by Nicholas Barbieri of the Uncas Manufacturing Co.

MAKER: Uncas Manufacturing Co.

CONDITION: I have not cleaned the brooch. T is one marcasite missing at the bottom of the circle.

MEASUREMENT: The brooch measures 1 3/4 inches wide.
