1938 1930's PHILIPS 727 A BAKELITE VALVE RADIO brand PHILIPS How Old? 1938 Condition This wonderful VALVE RADIO is a very good age and was in full working order just 4 years ago, since then it has been stored in a garage where it has had its dial glass cracked, the power cable and one of the side knobs have been lost, all dials, knobs and buttons work great, so really the set should work but i have no means of testing as i have no power cable and the dial tuner pin gets stuck on the sunken glass when you turn it, it will be a very easy fix for somebody with experience as it will just be sourcing a cable for power and gently replacing the glass or dial, also there is a tear in the speaker cover material :-) ! overall in good condition for the collector or to be used after restoration. description This wonderful radio is from 1938, and made by philips, it is a luxurious set with lots of rear plug options, for a 78 gramophone to amplify through and other options too, these early sets are getting very very rare and this case is great, true early bakelite, with a bit of love this will be perfect, the casing etc is great so it would also make a great ornament or film/theatre prop or great as a donar radio for a restoration! a great collectors peice . a real lovely peice of history and a true collectors item. these vintage lovely' read more
