This item is fairly complex and is hard to explain. This is a RARE Art Calendar Salesman's Order Portfolio from 1938. I have never seen any like it on ebay. The prints are by Irene Patten, Jules (J) Erbit, and others who's signature I could not identify. Patten and Erbit are long sought after American Illustrators. The five large prints offer fabulous colors and are 7X9.5. They are free mounted so that when you lift them up t is either further information about that calendar or an order list. Each page has a little lift up calendar cover and example page of the calendars below the larger calendar art. The last page titled "Miniature Art Calendars" offers ten 5X7 prints. The back has pricing information and a pocket that the salesman would keep the orders. I was asked to show a photo with the patten print raised. I hope this helps. The prints are without any borders. This portfolio's cover and back have minimal wear for its age, as shown, but it has protected the prints beautifully. See Photos! Email me if you want photos of the smaller prints.
