This was my grandfathers Zenith model 12S-232. It has been very well cared for over the years. The radio has no chips or missing veneer in the cabinet. The radio knobs are all original. It even has most of its original tubes (although I am not sure that's good). The radio stills plays and the motorized tuning feature still operates (seems to stick a little) but it definitely needs to be tuned up because the stations don't come in that strong. The black plates are in nice shape, no deterioration. The original finish on the radio is very nice, I would not have it redone but if you get really close to it you can see the fine cracks in the finish from its age. The radio has its original tuning eye that still works, it's a Zenith 6T5. When going through my grandfathers stuff I found another one of these 6T5 tuning eyes in a box that my grandfather had marked New (I have no way of knowing if it is or not). I don't have any use for it so I will just throw it in for whom ever wins the radio. I would perfer that the winner pick this up but if that's not possible I will ship as long as the winner pays for the actual packaging, shipping and insurance. Some of you have asked if the tag no under the chassis matches the tag no on the bottom of the radio. In order to see this the chassis needed to be removed from the cabinet. As I was not certain
