1939 True First Edition of "A Voice From the Dust" a sacred history of Ancient Americans, The Book of Mormon, Edited and arranged by Genet Bingham Dee, by the Deseret News Press. This book is bound in decorative Black and Gold imprinded cloth hardboard covers. The book is a large 6 1/2" x 9 3/8" x 2" thick (860 pages). This is the true 1st edition which includes the gold bee hives on the top and bottom of the spine and the pasted in color print of "Sistine Madonna" by Raphael ( 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" size on page 669 - later printings has this color print printed on the page). This book is a chronological rendition of the Book of Mormon and includes many color illustrations and historical pieces of information. There is no writting or damage to the pages and the binding is tight and straight, inside the front and back blank fly leaf has neatly penned notes written by a previous owner - see photos. This book is in very good condition and would be a great addition to your collection. The true 1st edition is very difficult to locate and quite rare.
