1939 ~CORO - QUIVERING CAMELIA Fur Clip, Brooch, Pin- SIGNED, NR This fur clip is one of Coro's most famous creations by Gene Verrecchio, their top designer. His designs are comparable to A. Philippe/Trifari. Known as a "trembler" because the center is on a spring and moves . Beautiful light and dark pink enamel Camelia with square cut fushia rhinestones- channel set on the petals. The center trembler is composed of 4 square fushia rhinestones with clear round rhinestone accents centering a round lighter pink rhinestone. Just beautiful! Signed CORO (in script) on the back with patent # 117802, assigned to Gene Verrecchio in 1939! A copy of the patent is included in this auction. It measures 2 1/4 inches long and almost 2 inches wide. . All stones are original, present & beautiful. The clip is tight. T is no loss to the enamel. This piece is in Excellent vintage condition with one minor flaw. T is a small chip in the goldtone finish on the stem (see photos).
