Very interesting real photo post card of Alaska caibou scene, Yukon River, franked with U.S.S.R. (Russia) 10k + 40k North Pole expedition commemorative stamps tied Aug 29 1939, partial Kamchatka Oblast postmark (post office name only partially discernable; please see scan), also violet Soviet trading company marking, with pencil message (in English) reading "Arctic Ocean, 25 Aug 1939, Love and Greetings from East Cape Siberia, Eunice & Bill," to Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. East Cape is on the Bering Strait. Senders were probably missionaries operating among the native Yupik speaking Eskimo people.
