This auction is for a rare vintage beer advertising carrying case, marked: GRAIN BELT BEER - 1 DOZEN FULL QUARTS - MINNEAPOLIS BREWING COMPANY - MINNEAPOLIS, U.S.A. - PERMIT MINN. U-812 - and on the bottom: BOTTLE CARRIER MADE BY CONTAINER CORPORATION OF AMERICA - CHICAGO, ILL. - 4-39 (April, 1939) - U.S. PATENT NO. 2,022,191 - U.S. PATENT NO. 2,124,326 - (these patent dates are from 1936 and 1938) - This old waxed cardboard carrying case has handles on the ends, a hinged double lid, and the colors are still bright and vivid. Overall in very good condition it shows no moisture damage, no weakness from use and is sturdy and strong. It shows light edge wear and one corner is scuffed into a few layers of the thick cardboard construction. It measures approx. 16" by 12" and is 10" tall and weighs 3 1/2 lbs.
