Thanks for stopping by! No Reserve Auction! I've been collecting old clocks for many years. I had an opportunity several years ago to purchase some parts from the estate sale of a clock repairman.My husband often wished to take up that hobby, but I think I'll be keeping him busy for several more years fixing up the old farm we bought. Don't want to move more than we have to move. You are bidding on a framed drawing signed by Hadden '39.. Drawing features Dopey reading cablegram notifying him that he has won the Irish Sweepstakes. Again, this is an actual drawing, hand colored. Not a print! I bought this piece at a swap meet in southern California approx. 20 -25 years ago. The seller got it out of a storage unit that was auctioned off. for non-payment. I have no background on this artist. Don't know if he worked for Disney or was an ametuer. Wonderful rendition of Dopey though. He looks like I remember him.. The paper was rumpled like it had been retrieved from the trash, maybe..General signs of age to paper -it has discolored with age.. I thought I found a tear so I took the frame apart to investigate. Yes, t is an approx.2" long tear in from left edge about center. Does not quite affect the drawing. T is also a small hole on right side, just inside matte 1 of the closure tabs is broken on the back of the frame, but no harm done read more
