1939 Motorola B150 Bicycle Radio with Brackets - WORKS! Description This auction is for a 1939 Motorola B150 Bicycle Radio in working condition. This is a great looking radio for your pre-war bike. I believe it was the first radio specifically designed for a bicycle and has two brackets on the bottom for mounting it to your handlebars. The radio circuit uses 3 radio tubes and was powered by an external battery. I do not have the cable that connects it to a battery, nor the antenna that plugged into the top of the radio, but I have taken the radio apart, checked the tubes, and connected it to a power supply so I could test it and make some minor repairs so that it plays. It is very clean and the Motorola decal is in nice condition, although t is some wear to the paint from its years of existence. Also, I should mention that the knobs are original and are made of a fairly fragile type of plastic that tends to warp and crack. These knobs are flawed but are much better than others I've seen. It measures about 8 x 4-1/4 x 3-1/4 inches. The Evolution of the Bicycle book, volume 2, includes this radio on page 222. No value is given for it at the end of the book - it just says 'Rare'. I am willing to offer assistance if you want to connect this to batteries on your bike and will also include some photocopies of paperwork relating to read more
