1939 NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR ORDER SONS OF ITALY IN AMERICA PA. STATE CONVENTION JOHNSTOWN AUG. 3-6 1939 WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. MEDAL VERY IMPORTANT ITEM INFORMATION, PLEASE READ! This auction is for a 1939 New York World's Fair medal made by the Whitehead & Hoag Co. On the obverse it shows the famous Perisphere and Trylon and the legend reads "NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939". In tiny letters under the Perisphere is "cNYWF". The reverse shows a lion on a plinth and the legend says "PA. STATE CONVENTION JOHNSTOWN AUG. 3-6 1939 ORDER SONS OF ITALY IN AMERICA". In tiny lettering at the bottom is "WHITEHEAD-HOAG". It measures 1 1/4" in diameter and other than a few scratches it is in excellent condition.
