This is a VINTAGE ORIGINAL (approx. 1930's, or early 1940's) enamel metal bus stop sign. It's about 16 x 18", with cast iron hardware that held the sign on the pole. The bottom attachment reads "Traffic & Street Sign Co." on one side, and on the other "Pat. Pending Newark N.J.". The sign has a beautiful art deco graphic repeated on both sides! Condition: of course , this was a functional outdoor sign for decades and as such t are some common age wear factors like scratches, light wear, mild abrasions, and some flecks of missing paint. T are two more obvious paint chips, one on the "B" in bus, and on the obverse, on the "U" in bus. One side has white house paint spots from sloppy maintenance people over the years, and some small rust on the bottom w the iron attachments clamp & frame the sign. Overall, this looks very good (see the pictures) and could use some cleaning, and possibly light restoration. As we see it, the flaws , add historical character! Sign is slightly heavy (about 12 pounds) , but we keep shipping as low as we can to encourage bidding; so $15.00 would do it. We only take PayPal on this item. USA BIDS ONLY.
