is an excellent piece of Art Deco history! This collectable compact was made by Girey for the 1939 New York World's Fair under license no. 588. It has a fantastic blue sparkley exterior with the famous Trylon and Perisp in shades of silver, gold, yellow and green. It measures approx. 1.75" x 3.25". The interior contains two compartments: one for powder which is empty and has no puff, and the other for rouge which still has it's contents and puff. The original mirror is in good condition with the beginnings of crazing showing on the backing. All mechanical components are perfectly functional. What is truely exeptional about this compact is that it comes complete with it's original box and protective pouch which are in pristine condition. A museum quality find at an eBay price. Please only bid if you are serious about purchasing this item. Insurance and delivery receipt are included in the FREE SHIPPING for U.S. buyers as well as for international buyers. Good luck!
