Buddy Lee Advertising Doll, dressed in a Railroad Engineer Outfit Believed to have been made in the 1940's Hard Plastic Body I am proud to offer for Auction this Very Hard to Find Buddy Lee Advertising Doll. Buddy Lee has been the Advertisement for Lee Jeans since the 1920's. This Terrific Estate Sale Find is complete and looks to have never been undressed. His face paint is complete and both of his arms are attached and working. He stands alone on his straight legs. The lettering on his back is raised. (I slipped my finger underneath the back of his shirt to check). The red kerchief tied around his neck says "GUARANTEED" and has some fraying (see pixs). The paint on his head is mostly present. The seam that runs across the top of his head has separated but can easily be repaired with a few spots of glue, (I will leave that up to the new owner) or left alone, the hat covers it perfectly. Also, some of the paint along this seam is not present. See pixs. The 2 Lee brass snaps at the bib have started to tarnish. This Treasure was found with dust on it and a very few, small soiled places that can be seen on the pictures. I used a new, very soft make-up brush to clean the dust off. Any additional cleaning I will leave also to the new owner. This doll was a Great Find and especially in this Untouched Condition! I know you would love read more
