This is a FULL LABEL milk bottle meaning that the labeling contains the name of the DAIRY, the CITY, and the STATE.

This is a really good looking blue pyro round half gallon milk bottle with a standard 56mm plug cap finish. It was manufactured in 1940 at the Los Angeles, California, plant of Owens-Illinois Glass Company (my maker information source is Glass Milk Bottles: Their Makers And Marks (1980) by Jeffrey L. Giarde).

The milk bottle is labeled on one side in blue pyro as follows:

DARIGOLD

BRAND

(full STANDING COW picture)

BUTTERMILK

REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.

PRODUCED AND DISTRIBUTED BY

INLAND EMPIRE DAIRY ASSOCIATION . . SPOKANE, WASH.

The milk bottle is labeled on the other side in blue pyro as follows:

INLAND EMPIRE DAIRY

DARIGOLD

BRAND

MILK

CREAM

BUTTER

COTTAGE CHEESE

AMERICAN CHEESE

The white inside the milk bottle is Styrofoam beads which enhance display but could be removed by winning bidder without damage to the bottle. The Styrofoam was in the bottle when I acquired it and has not been removed.

The milk bottle is striking and looks even better than the photos of it below. It appears to be in good condition with no chips or cracks and little to no case/use wear.
