THIS LETTER IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE. I HAVE MADE THE ABOVE SCAN AS LARGE AND CLEAR AS I CAN. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! DESCRIPTION DATED : September 9, 1940 FROM : Louisville Baseball Club TO : Walter O. Briggs, owner of the Detroit Tigers PERSONALLY HAND-SIGNED BY : Bruce Dudley, General Manager of the Louisville Colonels SUBJECT : spring exhibition games with the Tigers NUMBER OF PAGES : 1 CONDITION : very nice! This is a typed letter that is HAND-SIGNED in black ink by the sender; folded for mailing; nice straight edges and sharp corners; staple holes at top show some rust stains and are a bit raggedly torn; crease just below letterhead; no tears or breaks; officially stamped 'received' in the Detroit Tigers front office; humorous content (no fooling!)
