1940 Stromberg-Carlson Bakelite Radio Model # 500-H

You are bidding on a 1940 Stromberg-carlson model # 500-H, radio that works. Cabinet is made of bakelite (plastic) in mahogony/chocolate color & is in very good condition with a few minor scuff & scratch marks that should buff out. Radio receives many stations with some amount of static when tuning. Stronger local stations came in very clear with no background noise. Chassis is free from corrosion but has quite abit of dust. Back of radio is missing. The weave in the cloth grill is starting to slightly wear, but still in good condition The cabinet has no cracks or gouges. Knobs turn freely as they should. Plug on power cord needs to be changed. The natural beauty of this decorative case line & color will be brought out when buffed. All i did was to wipe dust off the cabinet. Thanks for looking.
