I recently found this interesting travel album at a local estate sale. The first page has an unused photo postcard of Lake Louise and neatly typed below " MY CANADIAN ROCKIES - CALIFORNIA TRIP, KAY MARSHALL, AUGUST 1940 ". Measures about 10 1/4" wide and 11 3/4" tall. The whole scrapbook is put together like a professional travel log, 67 pages of Miss Marshall's railroad journey through Canada's lakes, mountains and lodges. Through Washington, Oregon, Redwoods, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Catalina Island, Grand Canyon, Hopi Indians Lands and Santa Fe. T are lots of ephemera from railroads, hotels, bars, Golden Gate International Exposition, menus from a number of trains, a steamship, and China Town. The photographs are held in by corner mounts so they are in fine condition and can be removed easily. Most of the postcards are done likewise but a few are taped in, as is most miscellaneous paper. I've removed nothing, I believe it's as complete as the day it was put together. Lots of typed text. I took pictures of only a small portion of what I would love to show you. Please feel free to email me, however try not to leave it until the last day sometimes it takes a day or two for me to get back to you. If you would like to purchase Insurance just let me know, I can't fill in the proper amount not knowing what the album will end at. Thanks read more
