***My Merchandise is Mailed Out Via Priority Mail The Day After Payments Are Received*** This auction is for a Rare Origina l Early 1940 Wendell Willkie Political License Plate Topper . This Political Willkie Topper is unused and is still wrapped in it's original wax paper bag and has it's original $.29 price tag. It measures 6" by 5" and is made of metal. Wendell Willkie was the Republican opposition of the beloved Franklin Roosevelt in the 1940 presidential elections. Ironically, campaigning for the Republican nomination was the first time Willkie had run for public office and Roosevelt defeated Willkieâe(tm)s anti-war campaign soundly.
