The item up for a "NO RESERVE" auction is a penny ( $.01 cent) Ford Gumball Machine from the 1940's or 1950's. The Gumball Machine is in excellent original condition including the clear glass globe with the original Ford decal. The chrome is in excellent condition. The Gumball is a table top model that comes with the original rubber feet which are worn but function perfectly. This gumball has the early Ford brass nameplate. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer, early Ford Gumball machine in unrestored better condition. The gumball functions perfectly and vends gum everytime - smooth movement. This early model utilitized a slide which mates the base and the globe and was secured with a small padlock. I have a twist tie (no lock included) on it in the photos. That's how the pennies were secured. Later models had a specific Ford lock unit from the bottom. I have included some older Ford brand gumballs too. Fresh Ford gumballs are available right here on eBay by some other eBay sellers. This is a stylish machine that I have owned for over 20 years. It's time for me to sell off some of my collection to others. The gumball is also carefully packed for shipment. Lot's of bubblewrap around the globe and base unit. Buyer pays shipping.
