I recently purchased a complete set of American Flyer Trains at an estate auction in Maine. I am not a collector of model trains (did get a set for Christmas in early 1950's) but I have always been fascinated with them. This set just blew me away when it came up at auction, the condition was as if it had been played with a few times and packed away for 60 years. Since I don't know very much about the specifics of condition, I will just say that I have not tried to clean the pieces (don't think they need much) and will try to take good pictures to let you be the judge. Most of the items being offered have the original boxes. This item is, a gray Hopper Car (w/ red seal Lehigh and New England on the side) #632. It is in excellent condition, except that one of the four steps at the corners has been broken off. I believe to be 1940's vintage (the set that it came with and packaging seem to indicate that). The original box (see photo #3) is included and I can find no damage to this car. It could use a light cleaning. Please look for other American Flyer pieces from this fabulous set that are being offered in separate Ebay auctions presently running. NOTE: WE SHIP to US addresses only via U S Priority Mail, insurance is included. Items ship next day after payment is received unless it's a weekend. We combine multiple items to help you save on shipping costs when possible. If you've won more than one item, to avoid overpayment of shipping/ handling costs, please "DO NOT" attempt to pay, using a "Pay Now" provision, before receiving my invoice with the final shipping costs. We will e-mail you an invoice for your purchase(s) within 24 hours of the auctions end. .04.04.004
