This auction features a vintage 1940's Nelson McCoy Pottery Shell Planter/Vase. Marked "NM" on one side and "USA" on the other, it has a matte white glaze and remains in very good condition. T is a very small glaze nick at the rim and a couple of minor factory flaws. It has a glazed over ding on the interior rim, as well as a few pinpoint glaze pops. The interior rim also has a .25" underglaze line. It is only on the interior and appears original to the firing. These foibles are all in one small area, at one end, and have no effect on appearance. One side has some faint underglaze crazing, but again, it is minor and confined to one area. It measures 4.5" tall, 7.75" wide and 4.5" wide, it is a nicely detailed Nautilus shape. A great old Nelson McCoy piece in a hard-to-find form, offered without reserve, WOW!
