DESCRIPTION: Up for bid is a vintage, rare "Assistant Farmer" obsolete New York State Prison Guard's brass badge, with a cobalt blue center. The rareness lies in the fact that it usually says "Guard" and not "Assistant Farmer". It is Number 2. On the badge it says "Assistant Farmer, Vocational Institution, State of New York, 2". A very nice collector's item. It measures approximately 2 1/4" X 1 3/4". Please note that the picture makes the badge look more like copper, but it is actually a beautiful brass.
