Two super condition Rittgers figurines from 1942...The 2 boxing contenders...Missing is the 3rd figurine - The Referee...These 2 pieces are in amazing condition...Upright boxer is trying to deliver a left hook with his eyes swollen shut while his opponent is ducking the punch...Referee (missing) is to be placed with the boxers as so the left hook connects on him...Both figurines are marked "L. L. Rittgers - c 1942" on their shoes... L.L. Rittgers was an independent artist who issued comical sport and non-sport figurines from the late 30's into the 50's... The figures were chalk ware in composition and all were dated and signed... Standing boxer has red trunks with yellow bank and yellow socks and ducking boxer has green trunks with white band and white socks...Both boxers shoes are brown...Standing boxer measures almost 6 1/2 inches from bottom of shoes to top of left glove...Both are guaranteed original and authentic...Buyer to pay $ 9.00 USPS postage and handling, which includes insurance...Shipping to USA only...Check out my other auctions...
