Printed in Black and White on 8x10 glossy photo stock, this photo of Autrian-born Fritz Kreisler is undated. It most likely dates to the early 1940s. The back of the photo is stamped with Fritz Kreisler NBC Artists Service George Engles, Managing Director RCA Building, 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, N. Y. The photo is hand-inscribed " Fr Kreisler " in ink. Fritz Kreisler was an accomplished violinist and composer, born in Austria in 1875. He came to America during World War I, and returned to Europe in 1924. At the outbreak of World War II he returned to the US, remaining t until his death in 1962. This photo comes from the estate of a well-known man who lived in Portland, Oregon, Bob Hazen . His mother worked as a talent booking agent in Portland, and the estate includes many autographed photos from this era. Mr. Hazen was part of Ben Franklin Savings and Loan and also had a 15-minute radio show in the 50s and 60s. Click on photos to enlarge.
