Just found in a local estate is this vintage U.S. Navy ships clock made by the Chelsea Clock Co. in Boston probably in the 1930's or 40's.. This clock has a bakelite case, measures about 7 5/8" at base, 2 3/4" deep, and about a 5 1/2" clock face. I have had it running for a couple days and it seems to keep good time. It does not come with a key. I dont know how long it will run once fully wound. The clock face is in excellant condition with gold numerals, brass minute and hour hands as well as a sweeping alloy second hand. The back has a small plaque reading: Restored by Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Date July 1963.. This clock has a Serial # 5091 E.... This clock is really clean and shows very well...
