United Metal Goods made some really cool clocks back in their day. Many of them from the 1930's onward utilized some sort of motion and this one is no exception. This was probably designed by Anthony William Haydon, who patented his moving parts clocks.
It's electric and is 10" long by 8" high. is a view of it lit up with the fireplace glowing brightly:
