You are bidding on a 1940s Vendolator 27 Coca-Cola Vending Machine.

Also referred to as the âeoeVMC 27 Mailboxâe, this rare and unusual Coke Machine was produced between the years 1948-1951. The Vendolator 27 was extremely popular after the war years in the "Mom and Pop" stores throughout America for supplying cold drinks, as the âeoespaceship likeâe look attracted customers. As the competition increased between soft drink manufacturers, Coke focussed production more toward the higher capacity, larger upright machines to sell more drinks and subsequently the VMC 27 had a very short lifespan...thus this particular machine is very sought after and hard-to-come by.

I purchased this machine from a former Coke executive in Alabama many years ago - he had this machine in his house. To my knowledge, this machine is complete and in working order. I plugged it in for the first time since I have owned it before I posted it on ebay...the compressor kicked right on and the machine seems to cool fine. I stuck a few nickles in it, but they just fell right back into coin return. Perhaps because the machine is empty or it might just needs some adjustment. I make no warranties towards this machines functionality, but to my knowledge all parts are t and it worked fine when it was last used. This machine does come with the key.

Machine is in overal good condition and paint is original. It has does have numerous minor scratches and pings. Unfortunately, the guy i bought it from dropped it while moving it and it put a baseball sized ding in the upper right hand top corner of the door as visible in the pictures. The door could be disassembled and the dent could be worked mostly back out - or if you plan to restore this machine then it could certainly be fixed back like new.

The base of the machine is also included - sometimes these were lost over the years or the machines were set directly on a counter and the base was not included. The base holds an empty case for bottle return. T are rubber grommets that go between the base and the machine - these are still t I think the mounting bolts might have been lost, but could easily be replaced. THE YELLOW COKE CASE IS NOT INCLUDED - IT IS JUST T FOR PHOTO PURPOSES.

I have to make space in my warehouse. I currently have six Coke vending machines and a Rockola Jukebox that must go - all are currently listed with NO RESERVES. All of these are PICK UP ONLY - WE WILL NOT SHIP THESE VENDING MACHINES. Payment must be made within 10 days of aucton end. We can hold these for up to 30 days for you to arrange pick-up or can arrange possible delivery if you contact us at least 48 hours in advance of auction end to discuss delivery costs, etc. AGAIN, PICK-UP ONLY UNLESS DELIVERY PLANS ARE MADE BEFORE AUCTION END.
