1940's Vintage German Putz Nativity Manger & Figurines This Christmas Nativity set was just found in an estate sale. Every piece is marked Germany except the baby Christ Child. This is a very old set form the 1940's . The figurines and manger are very nicely detailed with some slight damage to some of the figurines. Overall this German made Nativity Scene is in Excellent to Very Good Condition and I'm sure it will add warmth to your holiday decor.!!! Description of each piece is as follows: 1) Woolly Lamb: The Lamb is 3 ¾ inches tall x 3 ¾ inches long. Lamb is made of all wool with a composition or Pa-pier-mac-he material head and wood stick legs, excellent condition. Germany stamped on left front leg. 2) The Manger: approximately 11 ½" wide by 8 ½" tall at its tallest point and 5 ½" deep. The manger is made of wood with a composition material back and roof. The manger is in excellent condition and has a white GERMANY stamp on back in the lower left corner 3 ) The Christ Child: 2 ¼ inches tall x 1 inch wide. Only piece not marked Germany and looks to be made of plaster. His feet are damaged. 4 ) Chris Crib: 2 ½ inches tall x 2 ½ inches wide. All made of wood, excellent condition.
