This is a 1941 brass compass, made by Henry Hughes & Son Ltd., London, for the Royal Navy, London. The compass measures: 2 1/8" across. It has 6 corners, and a little green colored emerald(?) in the center of the directional hand. It comes complete in its original purple lined display case. It is in very fine condition.
