This is a metal 1941 Western Electric telephone, not a reproduction. It was disassembled, reconditioned, and is guaranteed to work. The original paint on this one is still in good condition with some normal wear from age and some old touch ups. Overall it still displays very nicely. Everything is dated from the forth quarter of 1941 except the porcelain number ring which is dated 1954. The Bakelite F 1 handset was thoroughly cleaned and buffed out. The 5H dial was cleaned and lightly lubricated. Voice quality is excellent transmitting and receiving. It dials out to make calls and has a nice ring on incoming calls. Iâe(tm)ve installed a new cloth covered handset cord and matching line cord with a modern modular plug that fits todayâe(tm)s phone jacks. This one is ready to plug in and use.
