1942 "Azimuth Circle" Type 712A, made by the Lionel Corporation ~ In original mahogany case ~ This WWII-era 1942 Lionel (Lionel Toy Train Co. retooled and made many items for the war effort) Azimuth Circle Ships Compass Navigational Instrument comes with its original laptailed hardwood box and is in as found condition. The approx. dia.meter of the circle is 10 1/2".The metal of the circle has scuffs and scratches in places. Wood case lid, too, has several scrapes, with a small missing piece of veneer on the right corner edge of lid.I'm not sure what the purpose of this is.
