Hello. For your consideration is a 1942 dated USMC Service A blouse complete with the belt and a size 6 7/8 cover. Both the cover and the blouse have the appropriate metal Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignia. The blouse has slight moth damage to the PFC chevrons but is in otherwise very good to excellent condition with all buttons intact. On the flap of the left breast pocket is an M1937 basic marksmanship badge. The blouse displays three ribbons ( I believe post-war manufacture) to represent the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the American Campaign Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal. (No medals are included, only ribbons). On the left sleeve is a cotton 1st Marine Division patch. The blouse is marked on the inside with the Marine's name H. BULLENS with what I believe is a size of 5M. Further markings include COLLEGE HALL FASHIONS CONTRACT NO. NOm-35157 DATED APRIL 23, 1942. A Marine serving in the 1st Marine Division during and after 1942 would have likely served on Guadalcanal, Peleliu, and Okinawa. This would make a great addition to your WWII/USMC collection, a nice backdrop to a period weapons display, or is servicable enough for the reenactor. Winning bidders must contact me within 72 hours of auction end. US bidders only please. Feel free to e-mail with any questions you have or for more detailed pictures. Thanks for looking, read more
